JLIP
JLIP (Joint Level Interface Protocol) is a communications protocol developed by JVC which enables bi-directional equipment control by connecting with personal computers. The JLIP protocol is supported by JLIP software (for Windows®) and J-Terminal equipped computer peripherals and video products. JLIP uses the Serial connections that are standard on PCs today. And to meet the demands of the future, the JLIP standard is open-ended, enabling it to evolve in relation to future data transmission requirements.
