When a tape is subjected to vibration during recoding or playback, it can cause modulation noise--a source of unclear, muddy sound. We've also found that speakers can cause a similar noise we call "acoustic modulation." So, we employ a cassette-shell stabilizer and large insulators to suppress noise and improve clarity.
