Reverse Logistics
Returns Processing is a core competency of the Cinram fulfillment center. Returned products are carefully inspected to identify SKU and to determine appropriate disposition. Timeliness of reporting is critical with most returns processed and credited within 48 hours or less and returned to stock in five or less days.
Each return unit is identified, counted, and inspected according to guidelines established jointly by Cinram and its customer. These guidelines identify the criteria that are used to determine a returned product’s final disposition. Disposition of returned product may include:
- Return to stock
- Refurbishment and repair
- Testing
- Disassembled to salvage valuable internal components and materials
- On-site destruction
