JVC Introduces the XU-301BK 3 CD-to-MD Recorder
Las Vegas, NV, January 8, 1998 The art of recording is back and now anyone can be an engineer. With one touch of the new XU-301BK you can make digital recordings that are virtually indestructible and impervious to skipping. The unit consists of a Triple Tray 3 CD changer and a MD recorder in one chassis. The XU-301BK also features optical and RCA line-in and a microphone input allowing for live mixdowns of CD/line, line/mic, or mic/CD to MD. The unit can also convert 32, 44.1, or 48kHz sampling rates for transfers from DAT. There is even pitch control for the CD changer!
Thanks to TEXT COMPU LINK, a CD with embedded CD TEXT information will automatically transfer the disc and track titles during the recording process. And for CDs without CD TEXT, you can enter up to 32 characters per track with JVCÃs revolutionary keyboard remote.
The XU-301BK also incorporates the flexible editing that you would expect from a home component: Title, Divide, Join, Move, and Erase ³ all with audible cueing. When recording to an outside source, such as a cassette, you have the ability to randomly mix tracks from either the CD changer or MD player. A timer function is also included for playback or absentee recording.
Available in April, the XU-301BK will have a nationally advertised price of $660.00.
