Las Vegas, NV, January 8, 1998 -- Movin' is groovin' with JVC's Mobile Entertainment 1998 speaker lineup of 11 new and exciting speakers sure to enhance any mobile audio system with cutting-edge technological advancements.

For 1998, JVC Mobile Entertainment is heralding the major feature of Hybrid Pearl Olefin cone speakers that boast superior resistance to water and high temperatures. Perfect for car and boat, the speakers not only stand tough against the elements, but also produce a rich, natural and dynamic sound.

This year JVC is introducing seven new full-range speakers including: the CS-HX512 and the CS-HX522 -- a pair of 5-1/4" 2-way speakers; the CS-HX612 and the CS-HX622 -- a pair of 6-1/2" 2-way speakers; and the CS-HX6922, the CS-HX6932 and the CS-HX6942 -- a trio of 6" x 9" 4-way speakers.

Each speaker shares the features of having strontium magnets, a rolled butyl rubber edge, a heat-resistant voice coil and the robust Hybrid Pearl Olefin woofer.

The CS-HX522, the CS-HX622, and the CS-HX6922 all boast Poly-Ether imide cone tweeters. The CS-HX6932 has a Poly-Ether Imide cone midrange and tweeter, and the CS-HX6942 features a Poly-Ether Imide cone midrange and tweeter and a Poly-Ether Imide dome super-tweeter.

New style subwoofers also are featured in JVC's 1998 speaker lineup. The 10" CS-D250 Subwoofer Unit and the 12"CS-D300 Subwoofer Unit are new additions that share the same features of a hybrid hi-carbon cone, dual-layer damper, high-rigidity duralumin voice coil bobbin, bass solidity enhancing color coating, rolled butyl rubber edge and dual speaker terminals.

Boaters who like to hear music accompany the sound of waves breaking on the their watercraft, can take advantage of the new JVC CS-MX613 and the CS-MX623 -- a pair of 6-1/2" 2-way marine speakers. Sporting a new black speaker cover, the marine line is waterproof and rustproof, complete with rubber packing, silicon-coated connection wires, and are covered by resin frames and baskets.
