ELEVEN JVC PRODUCTS ARE SELECTED AS
INNOVATIONS 1998 AWARD WINNERS
Las Vegas, NV, January 8, 1998 JVC announced today the selection of eleven audio and video products as Innovations Ã98 award winners at the 1998 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The winning products in the Home Audio category include the RX-1024VBK AV Receiver; XL-MC334BK 200-disc CD Changer; XU-301BK 3 CD-to-MD Recorder; FS-7000 Executive Desk Stereo; and the RV-B90 "Kaboom Box".
JVCÃs KD-GT5 3-Disc CD Changer was distinguished in the Mobile Audio category. And the DF-300 D-VHS Video Tape Cassette was recognized for an award.
Video products were also big winners for JVC. Winning entries include the XV-D2000BK DVD player; the HM-DSR100 D-VHS Digital Satellite Recorder; the HR-S9400 Super VHS VCR; and the GR-DVX Digital Video Camcorder.
Each year, members of the trade press, engineers and industrial designers evaluate the best ideas in electronic hardware and software consumer design and engineering that are submitted by manufacturers of consumer electronics products marketed in the United States. The Design and Engineering Honors Program recognizes eight broad categories of hardware, including accessible products, audio/video, electronic gaming, lifestyle electronics, mobile and portable electronics, multimedia, small office/home office and vehicle electronics. The most innovative new software products for business applications, education, electronics gaming, multimedia and production and presentation are honored in the Innovations Software Showcase. Only exhibitors at Consumer Electronics Shows (CESÌ ) are eligible to participate in this prestigious recognition program. The winning design is showcased in the special Innovations display at the Winter CES.
Innovations is the most recognized awards program in the consumer electronics industry, endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America and sponsored and produced by the Consumer Electronics Manufacturers Association (CEMA), a sector of the Electronics Industries Association (EIA).
