JVC REDEFINES THE SIZE OF ITS VISION WITH THE D-SERIES HIGH-PERFORMANCE TELEVISION

Las Vegas, NV (CES, January 7-10, 1999) - JVC Company of America is launching a sleek new D-Series line of televisions designed for future compatibility and the ability to get the most from the wide array of entertainment sources available today. JVC's D-Series is designed to satisfy the growing customer demand for high-performance home theater products with an eye towards the future.

Rolling out seven models over three months, JVC is providing choices in three screen sizes ranging from 27", 32" and 36", and delivering exceptional performance and value for its customers.

Packed With Performance for Today's Entertainment All of JVC's new D-Series models are designed to meet the demands of both the growing number of home theater enthusiasts and the vast array of entertainment sources available today. Regardless of the type of entertainment, these models are designed for hook up flexibility and optimal performance. All D-Series models come with 2 A/V inputs, an S-VHS and Component video input, and Fixed or Variable Audio output. JVC's exclusive Compulink EX makes experiencing fine home theater as easy as the push of a button.

Feel the Power With a sexy new look, JVC's high performance speakers, coupled with BBE technology creates its finest sound quality to date. BBE technology provides

D-SERIES HIGH-PERFORMANCE TELEVISION more depth, detail and definition to improve the clarity of sound in the D-Series TV. The BBE sound system will add a slight delay to the lower frequencies of the audio signal so the higher frequencies reach the viewer's ears first, resulting in a very crisp, clean sound.

Feel the full effect of this sound experience as our increased internal amplification sends a full 10-Watts of power surging through the televisions speakers with a new dimension of rich, full sound.

Illuminated Convenience at Your Fingertips Every TV in the D-Series comes with JVC's new Universal Remote Control. This ergonomically designed remote control fits easily and comfortably in your hand and has a great number of user friendly functions. A 4-way cursor control makes navigating JVCs menu system as easy as up, down, left and right. You can simply scroll to an item and press the left or right arrow buttons.

Programmed to recognize the IR codes for most brands of VCRs and cable boxes, this remote eliminates the need for multiple controls. For added convenience, the D800 series will feature JVC's new Illuminated Universal Remote Control.

Small details make the difference The D-Series keeps an eye on detail without losing the big picture. With a focus on compatibility and the future growth of your home entertainment system, JVC's standard includes 2 AV Inputs as well as S-Video and component video inputs that will allow you to connect any of todays digital home theater products.

Focus on Special Features Every model in the D-Series is equipped with an impressive array of features. The D200 models come in 27" and 32". They feature all of the standard D-Series features such as Digital Comb Filter, Component Video input, S-Video input, the BBE sound system and Hyper Scan.

The D500 series also comes in 27" and 32" and adds dual tuner picture-in- picture.

Additionally, the top-of-the-line D800 models come in 27", 32" and 36". They are also dual tuner but add a second S-Video input, Guide'99, an Illuminated Universal Remote Control and Invar Shadow Mask for the 36" model.

Quick on the Draw Hyper Scan is the fastest way to channel surf in the industry, allowing users to zoom up and down through channels at the rate of either 1 channel per second or 5 channels per second.

Dual Tuner PIP With 15% more pixels than the average PIP, JVC's PIP is crisp and clear. By pressing the PIP Channel -/+ buttons on the Universal Remote Control, you can change the PIP screen's channel. To freeze a snapshot of what is on the big screen, just press the Freeze button. Press Swap, and the PIP and big screen switch places. And you can even move the PIP screen to any corner of your TV viewing screen.

Keeping the Picture Clear An Invar Shadow Mask, featured on the 36" model, uses a special alloy which resists thermal distortion for bright, vivid detailed pictures and the truest, purest colors.
