NEW YORK, NY, March 23, 1999

In addition to the JVC Jazz Festival New York schedule, which was announced at a press conference here today, 1999 JVC Jazz Festivals will also take place in Newport, Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay area, Chicago, Atlanta, Winter Park (CO), and Toronto.

The JVC Jazz Festival New York, June 14-27, will include approximately 300 artists performing at nearly 40 venues across New York City and Englewood, New Jersey.

The JVC Jazz Festival returns to Colorado for the third year, and will take place in Winter Park, July 17-18. Among the featured performers are Tower of Power, Richard Elliot and Ken Navarro.

Navy Pier, House of Blues and Park West are scheduled venues for the JVC Jazz Festival Chicago, being held July 23 - 25. Artists include Richard Elliot, Peter White and Gato Barbieri.

The JVC Jazz Festival Atlanta is scheduled to take place at Chastain Park from July 28 - 31, featuring Brian Setzer Orchestra and The Tops and The Temptations.

The artists for the JVC Jazz Festival Newport, August 13-15, will be announced at a press conference on May 13, in Newport. This will be the fourth consecutive year that the QE2 cruises to Newport and drops anchor near Ft. Adams State Park, in conjunction with the JVC Jazz Festival.

The JVC Jazz Festival returns to the San Francisco Bay area�s Concord Pavilion on August 28, with performances by Fourplay, featuring Bob James, Nathan East, Larry Carlton and Harvey Mason; Will Downing & Gerald Albright, Boney James, Royal Crown Revue and Braxton Brothers.

Fourplay, featuring Bob James, Nathan East, Larry Carlton and Harvey Mason; and Will Downing & Gerald Albright will also appear at the JVC Jazz Festival Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl on August 29. The artist line-up also includes David Benoit and a special guest.

The JVC Jazz Festival Toronto dates will be announced shortly. JVC�s fifth year of sponsorship will continue its tradition of hosting concerts by internationally known jazz artists at multiple venues throughout the city.
