Las Vegas, NV (CES, January 7-10, 1999) JVC is launching two new Family Theater TV/VCR combinations this year, the TV-13140 and TV-20240 models. JVC's sleek new line of trend-setting TV/VCRs feature cutting-edge looks and 21st century technology, including expanded "One-Touch" features for the ultimate in home theater entertainment.

Upscale Design Satisfies Demand
The upscale design comes in response to JVC's customer demand for more of JVC's trendsetting style, as seen in the recent redesign of its audio and video equipment. The sleek, silver cabinet of the 20" model reflects a contemporary lifestyle and sets a stylish mood, while side-mounted, front-firing speakers help deliver the supreme audio/video experience. The compact 13" model is black and packed with great features and value.

Available in 20-inch and 13-inch models, these exciting TV/VCR combinations have the features consumers have come to expect from JVC. As the inventor of VHS, JVC is incorporating a high-performance 4-head VCR with auto tracking and auto repeat in both models.

Sharp Pictures with JVC's Enhanced Technology
JVC's exclusive Apacon sharpness enhancer changes the video signal to eliminate any stray signals or any low video noise, producing higher contrast. Combined with JVC's BLE (Black Level Expansion) video circuitry, these TV/VCR combos create rich, vivid pictures.

Auto Repeat and Auto-Tracking features lead the list of customer conveniences. JVC's Super Command Menu, and famous remote with 4-way cursor control make navigating menus easy. Both the TV-13140 and the TV-20240 models boast a front A/V input for convenient connection of other equipment such as camcorders and video games.

Big 20" Screen Features EZ JECT
JVC's 20-inch TV-20240 features a brand-new, timesaving function aptly called EZ JECT, which automatically rewinds the videotape and ejects it at the touch of a button. This useful tool is sure to be a hit with people-on-the-go who don't want to fuss with rewinding tapes.

Engineered with image quality in mind, the 20-inch TV/VCR unit takes advantage of JVC's legacy of VCR design. The TV/VCR unit has a 19-micron head and Quasi S-VHS Playback (SQPB) which mimics the higher resolution and clarity of tape formats superior to standard VHS. Dark tinted CRT and high performance speakers add to the visual and audio impact. This all-in-one unit offers 3 video status options. Viewers can pick from Standard, Choice (to tweak the picture to personal preference) and Theater (which reproduces the rich texture of film). More memory on the Timer allows viewers to schedule up to 8 Events on its 1-Month Timer. An earphone jack, sleep timer and Return + round out the features to make operating your TV/VCR as easy as 1-2-3. Multi-lingual households will appreciate the Super Command OSD (On-Screen Display) with Tri-Lingual menus in English, Spanish and French.

Exciting Remote Control Features
Both versions allow viewers to access advanced features via an ergonomically designed remote control. That includes the Tri-Lingual OSD, Auto Tracking, Auto Repeat, Event Record Timer, MTS Stereo and EZ JECT.
