JVC COMPANY OF AMERICA
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Las Vegas, NV (CES, January 7 , 1999)
Las Vegas, NV, (CES, January 7-10, 1998) Until recently, the bane of every mega-CD changer owner was the tedious task of inputting all of the titles for each disc one by one, letter by letter. Thankfully, CDs with pre-encoded titles started showing up on the market last year using a technology called CD TEXT. This year, the technology has been improved and extended to JVC's new XM-448BK MD Recorder as well as to its new MD and CD receivers.
How do you benefit from this technology if the CD changer is hidden, or in another room? With JVC's new TEXT COMPU LINK system, the titling information is transferred from the JVC changer to select JVC receivers. Now the titling is viewable on the receivers display and on your television thanks to the receivers OSD. And now that we have this information, how can we best use it to better enjoy our equipment? With TEXT COMPU LINK you can easily access any title by name, performer, or genre by simply selecting the first letter of the name in the category you have chosen. Then select from the list shown. Titles can also be added to all of your existing CDs via the OSD or JVC's new titling remote, available with the XU-301BK 3 CD-to-MD recorder and the XM-448BK Mini Disc Recorder.
Another unique benefit of TEXT COMPU LINK is its ability to transfer all of the titling information to MD during the recording process automatically!
The one system that takes full advantage of CD TEXT software is TEXT COMPU LINK.
