The five attractive new models are equipped with a versatile array of features and functions that improve driving safety and assure mobile entertainment at its most comfortable and enjoyable.

BBE High-Definition Sound (KD-SX949/KD-SX940/KD-SX840) With powerful sound output of 40 W x 4, drivers will want to ensure that audio distortion is minimized. JVC's exclusive new BBE high-definition sound system is now available on all but our entry-level models. By correcting phase delay and distortion to ensure that the output sound is as true to the original recording as possible, BBE produces sound with clearer high frequencies, crisper vocals, and tight, well-defined bass.

Bigger, Brighter, More Attractive Displays Multi-Color LCD display The KD-SX949 and KD-SX940 are equipped with a large, attractive, easy-to-see which makes it easy for the driver to check receiver functions and status at a glance. These models also feature a flip-down face panel. The KD-SX949, KD-SX940, KD-SX840 and KD-SX740 also feature a new white LED backlight that's twice as bright as a conventional display and generates less heat, reducing power consumption and assuring a longer service life.

Thinner Detachable Control Panel JVC receivers feature easy-to-remove control panels that you can detach and carry with you for security. All models with detachable control panels are provided with a convenient compact carrying case and, on some models, the thickness of the panel has been reduced to make them even easier to slip in your pocket or purse.

Rotary Encoder Multi-Control Much more than a mere volume control, this multi-function control dial provides precise, instant control over sound levels. The same dial gives you control over sound characteristics and general settings, as well as making it easy to enter characters when registering disc names or station names.

Affordable High Performance Even at the entry level, JVC's new models deliver uncompromised quality and performance. The KD-S640, KD-SX740 and KD-SX840 all feature Direct Track Access, built-in HS-II tuner, Sound Control Memory, and line output terminals. The KD-SX740 and KD-SX840 also come with the extra-bright white LED backlight and full set of CD changer control functions, including Direct Disc Select and two-mode Repeat/Random, to give you complete control over a connected JVC 12-CD changer.

New JVC changers such as the CH-X200 CD changer can easily be connected to either of these receivers using JVC's exclusive J-Link connection which combines power and signal cables into a single, easy-to-connect cable. With the KD-SX840, you can also enjoy the enhanced sound definition provided by the BBE system and the convenience of wireless remote control operation.

Superior Top-of-the-Line Performance For those who want maximum sound performance and unrivaled systems flexibility, JVC offers the KD-SX940 and KD-SX949. In addition to all the features of the KD-SX840, both models feature our new Multi-Color LCD as well as convenient features like Beep Tone Support, which makes operation easier and safer because the unit beeps to confirm operations. Combined with the provided remote control, this system lets you safely and accurately control various functions without even having to look at or touch the display CD Text Capability is also provided for convenient display of disc information, such as the title of the disc and the name of the artist you're listening to on the receiver's panel. Best of all, both models come with two pairs of line out terminals and a FRONT AUX IN terminal so you can configure an unbeatable audio system with multiple additional amplifiers. The KD-SX1000R is complete with all of the specifications and features of the KD-SX949 and adds a powerful array of high-performance features that work together to ensure a truly enjoyable "home theater" style entertainment experience. The KD-SX1000 is the core of JVC's mobile A/V system. Simply add the KZ-V10 mobile 4-head VCR and KV-M65 color LCD monitor and create incredible sight and sound to your mobile entertainment.

For relaxed viewing and listening enjoyment, Audio Cruise Mode automatically optimizes the volume level to accommodate changes in your vehicle's speed. Dual 4-volt pre-outs and the sophisticated RDS (Radio Data System) tuner system are also included. RDS detects program identification signals from all available stations, automatically switching to the appropriate station when a specified source is detected. You can assign a particular station type such as sports, news or music to a one-touch button, so you can always have immediate access to the kind of programming you want at the touch of a button.
