JVC ADDS POWER IN ITS VERSATILE 3+3+1 and 3+1 COMPONENT MD SYSTEMS MX-WMD90 and MX-MD70

Las Vegas, NV (CES, January 7-10, 1999) -- JVC is introducing two heavy hitting compact MD and CD systems at CES 1999 offering triple combinations of MD and CD technologies to provides the most advanced system for effortless recording.

Versatile Triple-Tray Style Promises Superior Recording JVC's MX-WMD90 is the same size as a standard shelf system, but the similarities stop there. This extraordinary system boasts a 3-CD Triple-Tray Changer, a 3-MD Triple-Tray MD Changer and a Single MD Player topped off by 100 watts of power and a Large Graphical Fluorescent Display.

Three independent CD trays sport JVC's easy Play & Exchange System which makes switching disks simple and scratch-free. 1-bit dual digital-to-analog converter, a 15-track program chart and three-disc programming with 32 tracks and smart random/repeat play bring this unit up to critical speed for audio enthusiasts.

Tucked underneath the single MD player, lies the triple MD Player/Recorder Drive to provide incredible versatility for listening, recording and mixing audio sounds. The MD changer offers 5-mode MD edit functions and matches the CD changer with 32 track programming and smart random/repeat play.

Maximum Pleasure with 3+3+1 Design
Dubbed, 3+3+1 by JVC, listeners take advantage of this awesome array of technologies to mix MDs from virtually any source including MD, CD, Radio and Auxiliary Inputs. Incredibly versatile, the MX-WMD90 lets music lovers listen to the MD, CD, radio or auxiliary input while dubbing.

Options abound with Triple, Long and First Track-Record Features JVC's MX-WMD90 Compact Component MD System can mix up any combination of recording necessary. JVC's Triple Record feature allows recording from 3CDs onto 3 MDs for hours of unsupervised dubbing. For extra-long party mixes, you can rely on Long Record to make recordings on 3 MDs consecutively for up to 222 minutes of effortless,favorites playback. First Track Record dubs the first track of each CD, lavishing a master MD with super music. Twin jog controls on the face of the unit ensure easy, flawless operation of multiple functions including Record mode, source selection, song title input, track search, timer setting, and MD editing.

One of the bonuses of MD is that the title, track, and artist information are displayed during playback. When dubbing from one MD to another, all of this information is automatically transferred to the copy with Auto Title Copy. When recording from other untitled sources, the MD Title Reserve Function allows you to manually input titles to 16 tracks ahead of time, even while recording is underway.

MX-MD70 Easy to Use, Easy to See
JVC's MX-MD70 MD Shelf System sports a three-CD changer with a single MD Player/Recorder. This sleek silver finished powerhouse features a cylindrical multi-jog control for easy search and titling functions and a large 4-line aquamarine-blue LCD display panel that doubles in size to two lines for easier visibility when the using the remote control.

Pricing and Availability The MX-WMD90 will be available in April 1999 for a nationally advertised value of $1,100. JVC's MX-MD70 will be available in February 1999 for a nationally advertised value of $660.
