JVC INTRODUCES TWO 5-DISC FRONT- LOADING ROTARY CD CHANGERS WITH "PLAY & EXCHANGE"

Orlando, FL, April 13, 1997...JVC is introducing two 5-disc carousel compact disc changers -- the XL-F254BK and the XL-F154BK. Each feature the "Play & Exchange" System, meaning users can change any of four discs while the fifth disc is being played.

Each unit features JVCÌs 1-bit P.E.M. D.D. Converter with VANS (JVCÌs Advanced Noise Shaper) and fine pulse interface. The XL-F254BK adds a 10-key pad for direct track access and a remote control.

Additional features shared by both units include: 8-times oversampling digital filter; 5 DISC keys on the front panel; Continuous play and smart random play; JVC high-precision 3-beam laser pickup; Disc stabilizing clamper; 20-track program chart; Program play of up to 32 "steps" (tracks and discs) from 5 discs; 4-way repeat -- all tracks, single track, programmed tracks and random play; Auto/manual search; Resume function; Headphone output with volume control; and Enhanced Compu Link Control System.

The XL-F254BK is available this month and has a national ad value of $200. The XL-F154BK will be available in July and will carry a national ad value of $180.
