THE "KALEIDO CLOCK" DISPLAY WITH MULTI JOG CONTROL

DEBUTS ON JVCÌs RC-QW500 CD PORTABLE SYSTEM

Orlando, FL, April 13, 1997...Consumers are introduced to a clever new way of interacting with a CD Portable with JVCÌs "Kaleido Clock Display" with Multi Jog Control which appears on the feature packed RC-QW500.

The Kaleido Clock Display brings lively animation to JVCÌs Portable System. Normally it functions as analog clock. But when used with the Multi Jog Control it turns into an animated indicator to help consumers set the built-in timer in a familiar analog style. The attractive display also indicates when a tape or CD is being played.

In addition to this cool feature, the slim and sexy RC-QW500 packs a lot of sound and features as well. The unit boasts COMPU PLAY, Full logic, Multi-bass horn and a 1 bit DAC. COMPU PLAY allows the user to simply touch a source button (CD, tape or tuner) and have the power come on and all other startup steps occur automatically. 1 bit D/A converter eliminates zero crossing distortion so the CD player reproduces even low level signals clearly and naturally with improved linearity. The CD player sports a front loading CD tray while also featuring Program/Repeat/Random play.

Dual "feather touch" full-logic is featured on the cassette deck while the unit is also equipped with a full-function remote control.

Among complete features of the RC-QW500 are the Kaleido-Clock display in a back illuminated LCD; Multi jog control (Clock/Timer, CD skip, Manual tuning), Dual "feather touch" full logic cassette; Full-function remote control; 1-bit D/A converter, CD program (20 tracks)/repeat/random play; Digital tuner; 15 AM, 15 FM presets; Auto preset; Multi source one-touch recording; Full auto stop; Multi Bass Horn (on/off); Electronic Tone Control; COMPU PLAY; Clock/time (Sleep and Wake-up with "snooze"); and PHONES, AC IN jacks.

The RC-QW500 will be available in August with a nationally advertised price of $200.00.
