JVC HIGHLIGHTS THE NEW KD-GT5, THE "NEXT GENERATION" 3-DISC-IN-DASH CD CHANGER/TUNER
Las Vegas, NV, January 9, 1997...JVC's new KD-GT5 in-dash CD Changer/Tuner is a true "next generation" 3-Disc CD changer for the automobile which delivers even better ease-of-use for consumers as well as state-of-the-art sound.
The KD-GT5 builds on JVC's innovative "triple play" system, meaning that all CD play and exchange operations are performed completely inside the unit through the employment of a unique pivot swinging reverse mechanism and innovative technology in the form of a 3-Disc magazine. This all-enclosed mechanism is the first such system among in-dash changers. Thus, all consumers have to do is directly load the 3-CD magazine as if they were loading a "single" CD receiver. Additional 3-CD magazines, which can be purchased separately, allow consumers to simply insert and exchange three discs at once.
For even greater ease-of-use and safety, the Wireless Remote Control allows drivers and passengers even greater authority over programming. The simply designed and ergonomically shaped controller features single finger operation of most functions, making operation possible from both the front or back seats.
For extra security, the Detachable Face can be removed and transported when drivers leave their cars for extended periods. JVC's new Blue Green LCD display is also more pleasing to the eye. The KD-GT5 also sports an HS-II Tuner, JVC's most advanced tuner featuring newer circuitry enhancements, AFNS to eliminate multipath noise, MPX to reduce noise from adjacent stations, and noise cancellation to reduce the distortion caused by over-modulation noise.
The KD-GT5 replaces the KD-GT7 but without amplification. Among other features of the KD-GT5 are: SSM, Scan Tuning, Switchable Tuner Interval, Hard Case For Detachable Face, 1-Bit DAC, Blue Green Illumination, Intro Scan/Random/Repeat, Loudness, and Power Off Mode Eject. The availability of the KD-GT5 is TBA however it will carry a National Advertised Value of $429.95.
