JVC EXPANDS ITS MOBILE ELECTRONICS LINE OF IN-DASH CD RECEIVER OFFERINGS -- HIGHLIGHTED BY INCREASED POWER AND ENHANCED FEATURES

Las Vegas, NV, January 9, 1997...As CDs continue to move more rapidly into the car environment, JVC is significantly broadening its Mobile Electronics In-Dash CD Receiver line with the introduction of the KD-GS920, KD-GS820, KD-GS720 and KD-GS620 models. The upper end units are highlighted by a new wattage plateau for JVC at 40 watts per channel. Previous generations featured 35 watts. At the same time, there is also newer cosmetic emphasis in the line with Blue Green Illumination and larger LCD readouts, Flip-Down Faces, and Voice Support -- all winning characteristics for car audio enthusiasts. The top of the line KD-GS920 is a CD Changer Controller with a HS-II Tuner, and also featuring Wireless Remote Control, 160 watts of High Power (40w x 4), Dual Outputs, Voice Support System 3, Detachable Flip-Down Face, and CD Changer Control. Voice Support System 3 is yet another evolution in this popular JVC feature which showcases a sophisticated female voice responding to the touch of a control key by confirming a command. Thus, it's not necessary to look at the front panel display of the receiver each time a key is pressed. In the past whenever the Voice Support System "spoke," it muted the music. Now, the feature "overlays" the music so music plays behind it and the voice is heard over the music.
