VIPSLAN-10: the disaster-proof network
When designing disaster-proof information communication system, the Hyogo Prefectural Government confidently selected VIPSLAN-10. Drawbacks of cabled systems were amply demonstrated during the Great Hanshin Earthquake when communications were disrupted due to wire and cable breakage, and when cables obstructed rescue and other activities in collapsed, debris-filled buildings. This experience naturally prompted the Hyogo Prefectural Government to build a network system with a minimum of cables. Wireless but highly reliable, Ethernet compliance and high-speed communications are the features which earned VIPSLAN-10 a high reputation as an infrared wireless LAN system. VIPSLAN-10 is an information communication system that is robust in the event of disasters.
